The 11th Global Network Forum on Infection and Immunity

The 11th Global Network Forum on Infection and Immunity was held on February 6 (Thursday) and February 7 (Friday), 2025, as part of the Joint Usage and Research Center Project of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. This forum was organized by the Medical Mycology Research Center, Chiba University, and co-hosted by Chiba University, Synergy Institute for Futuristic Mucosal Vaccine Research and Development (cSIMVa) and Chiba University, Center for Human Immunological Diseases and Therapy Development (cCHID). The event took place at the Research Building of Medical Science, Chiba University, in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation. On the first day, the flash talks and poster session featured 45 presentations, primarily by young researchers. The second day included invited lectures under the theme “"Synergistic Innovation of Microbiology, Mucosal Immunology and Vaccinology." Eight distinguished researchers from the United States, Hong Kong, and Japan gave excellent lectures covering a wide range of topics, including gut microbiota and fungi, vaccines, infectious diseases, AI/data science, and intestinal immunity. Over the course of two days, the forum welcomed a total of 255 participants, surpassing last year’s attendance. Engaging discussions took place between presenters and attendees, and thanks to everyone’s support, the event concluded with great success.
